Projects
Over the years I've created quite a lot of software. Much of the early stuff was for the mainframe, so would have been written in assembler and would rarely have been more than 8K in size. Those were the days!
Now, I'm developing for PCs using Visual Basic and the smallest useful application I have produced recently is 2Mb in size; though most of my apps are much larger! Progress huh?
It's quite hard filtering out the significant stuff from the quick and dirty stuff as the quick and dirty often turns out to be very useful and usually involves getting in to the interesting parts of the windows API. However, I have tried to put together a quick overview of some of the more significant applications and the more interesting bits and pieces.
Not all of the commercial products are still available. Many have since been turned in to web based applications, whether they needed to or not! Some have just fallen by the way side as companies move on or change their focus.

- Enabler came out of a feeling of being fed up with carrying around large bundles of paper questionnaires. The inventor of Performer approached me to write a software based 360° assessment package...
- School Mentor was a spin-off from Performer, the School Mentor product deals with the assessment of teachers and classroom techniques...
- Dealing with the billing for a small consultancy should be a simple and straight forward function. Yeah, right! The Lucidus Billing system just didn't seem that simple...
- Getting a consolidated diary report from MS-Exchange can be a challenge, especially when you need to distribute it from a server that is not on a network...
- Role Profiler was another of those web projects that never went anywhere, but never the less a nice bit of JavaScript code...
