Management Enabler

Our Management system identifies 30 'core' competencies which are derived from 3 fundamental poles or dimensions:

  • Leading People and Building Relationships.
  • Understanding and Improving Performance.
  • Achieving Quality Results.


Management Enabler identifies each of the 30 competencies in detail and defines each one clearly. The comprehensive model of management demonstrates how managerial effectiveness is achieved through leadership and people skills impacting on the organisation's processes to improve performance and ultimately produce improved results. Enabler provides a holistic model which has synergies with the Business  Excellence Model (EFQM) and Investors in People Standard. Its flexibility means that the organisation can choose any or all of the competencies to evaluate, this means:

  • manages can be assessed against a comprehensive model of holistic management.
  • they can be assessed against only those competencies which have been identified as being important to the organisation or the job holder.
  • the organisation can develop its own competencies and tailor these to their culture.


Management Enabler can be used as a stand alone tool or bolted on to an existing performance appraisal system. It provides a range of feedback including a 360 degree facility. Remember, its flexibility means that the organisation can select the competencies which are crucial to their success and work only with these.
